Project 1 begins

Without further ado, I have kick started "project 1". I began reading 'The rise and fall of the third Reich" yesterday only to realize that it might need more insight into German history (before 1933) than what I currently possess. I need to put in substantial amount of effort into the history of the first and second reich to do full justice to this book. So after some initial wikipedia browsing on the matter, I plan to begin today. I give myself 3-4 months to finish it. Let's see how that goes. Any pointers anyone?

Happy new year ~!

As I moved from the last year to this one, I realized not much has changed. I am still making a list of the same resolutions I made last time, still mulling over how to achieve them, still planning vacations I wanted to make last year, still writing first posts on my blogs - to sum it up - still being the lazy me.
Something interesting happened in the last phase of the last year though. I DID scrape through GMAT and I did score well. Although, after the debacle of that interview (of the only school I applied to) and mulling over my disastrous answers over a 1000 times in my head, I seem to have made peace with it. As I sat reading an article about how we humans can never be happy unless we start accepting things at face value I realized I need to stop doing it. So what? It's just one school. And it's not the only chance.
The good thing about the whole experience although was the insight it gave me into my own self. It was like someone forcing me to look for more in the mirror. I seem to be more focused now. I still don't understand why or how a terrible interview experience can do that to me. But I ain't complaining :)
So this time I have a more achievable list of resolutions - both personal and professional. I have finally decided what 'projects' I need to work on in 2012 and get going with them. I really want to make things work this time around so I don't find myself blogging the same stuff in the Jan of 2013. Talk about vicious circles !
